About Us

Muirhead Builders, LLC, is a general contracting firm which is licensed to perform both residential and commercial construction in North Carolina. The company was founded by Scott Muirhead who began working in Haywood county in 1985.

In May of 2006 Jake Muirhead joined his father in the business after earning a degree in Construction Management from Western Carolina University.

The company has built a reputation for superior interior finish work. In 2007 their entry home in the local home builders' association parade of homes garnered awards in eight of 11 categories, including Best Overall Built Home.

The company has completed approximately 40 new homes in the past 13 years, and many of those are log homes. The Muirhead's and their crews have experience in most types of residential construction, including frame; insulated-concrete-form; post and beam; and of course log homes. Muirhead Builders, LLC, is also one of the preferred builders for Western Carolina Cedar Homes, the regional distributor of Lindal Cedar Homes of Seattle.
